Cassandra let her fingers brush against the stone and found herself overwhelmed by images from their past. The Abbott frowned as he watched his sister struggle to regain her composure.
“You need to be more careful of that. You’re far too emotional right now to have full control.” He chided her. Cassandra pursed her lips and scowled as she managed to regain control.
“Emotions have nothing to do with this, you know how strong the forces here are and how old. It has been a long time since either of us has had to contend with them.” The pirate queen replied coolly.
The end is here. Aksoth's forces roam unchecked across the plains of Celadmore; the people of Celadmore have been forced to retreat to the fallen city of Grashindorph. Within the city there is trouble. Leaders of each of the countries of Celadmore seek to control the city.
Mistrust runs like a fever through the city. Scheming and corruption distract the people from preparing to stand against Aksoth in one final battle.
Revolution stirs amongst the poorest of the people; Venetia seeks to restore Gruagadon to his rightful place on the throne of Nesca and will sacrifice anything to get him there.
Harmony is so far from their grasp that the thought of victory fades as forces, beyond the control of any mortal, clash and the future of Celadmore is decided.
In this final bastion, they must find victory or Aksoth will purge the realm of light of all life.
“Axe, send the word, we’re using our favourite plan of attack.” Cassandra grinned.
Keldrak laughed to himself, “Pirates with a plan of attack?”
Cassandra shrugged. “Well, we say ‘plan’, but it’s more of a style.”

I love writing in the fantasy genre so much and this book has been 15 years in the making. I feel excited and sad at the same time that something I have been working on for so long and the first characters I created in this world are not going to be the focus of my writing going forward.
End of Days finishes the story arc that began with Shroud of Darkness and was continued with Lady of Fire.
