I have been building artistic water fountains and features using “Upcycled” materials – mainly working with glass, ceramics, metals, and stone. My skills and abilities are now at a level where I am looking to increase my productivity and create a website to feature my works. The most important and difficult aspect in this venture is buying quality, well built submersible pumps that perform well and last the long life of the fountains themselves. With support from crowdfunding I will be able to buy the pumps I have in mind, fund a website to feature my work, and reward backers with unique custom fountains that I will build - with various designs and styles to choose from, and a personal thank you in a dedication page on the website once created.

Who are you?

Hi! Derek from Tampa, 38, Artist, engineer, & DJ - using many media types to create & entertain. Over the years I found I felt more relaxed & at ease around natural areas or settings involving water - i.e. waterfalls, beaches, streams for example. I found even just having sounds of water moving nearby - whether I am actually listening to it, or just hearing sub-consciously, gives the same effect. This made me desire that feeling at home, where you figure one should feel most relaxed, right? I’ve bought and tried many indoor fountains of all prices & types, every time ending up disappointed.. Either they start breaking down or just break, (sooner than expected for the price), or I realize they really sound fake and artificial, ruining the point of really having it. The only solution I saw was to somehow start building MY OWN to be satisfied.. I’ve gotten very good and love combining my craft skills, quality parts, & artistic flair into these new works for people to enjoy
