Hi. My name is Honey. I will be 5 on September 11. My mommy and daddy rescued me from a man that wasn’t very nice about 3 years ago. They promised me that they would take the best care of me and show me all the love that I deserve. Recently, my mom and dad noticed that I wasn’t feeling like myself. I was sleeping all day and wasn’t really eating much. I was drinking A LOT of water though and had some accidents in the house. It seemed like I was getting better but almost over night, things got a lot worse. I started having a bloody discharge. There was a lot of discharge too. My mommy and daddy looked online to try to figure out what was going on. They read about something called PYOMETRA. They immediately started calling vets to try to get me help. But they were having trouble. My mommy has been out of work for awhile now after having a stroke and my dad has been in and out of the hospital due to a bad infection in his bones. He’s out of the hospital now but has something called a PICC line so he can’t go back to work for at least 2 months. They asked every vet they could if they could do a payment plan so that I could be seen and get better but unfortunately, no vet was able to do that. They don’t have a car so they have to stay in they area so that doesn’t give them many options. After describing to the vets over the phone what was happening they said they too believe I have pyometra. The treatment is not an easy one. Do to the stage my symptoms are at, the vets said I need to be spayed asap to treat this infection - See more at:
