Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world with minimal government services and insufficient funds to develop its resource base.

The largely agrarian and subsistence-based economy is also affected by frequent and extended droughts. I’m looking to purchase these water filtering units and mosquito nets, to provide families and communities with clean water.  

The distribution will be to rural areas that don’t have clean running water.  

Disease is in the river water that they are drinking… yes the same place the animals go to drink and whatever else ends up in there.  Diarrhea kills millions yearly due to dirty water.  Pregnant women and children are the ones most affected.  

These units get rid of viruses, protozoa, parasites and bacteria that cause disease.   They last for 3 to 5 years! I’m just trying to help some families so that the effect will be felt for years to come because they will be healthier to live life.

Water is a basic human right….doesn’t everyone deserve it?
