Musicians without Borders promotes access to music as a basic human right and a powerful tool for social change, especially for people in under-resourced and war-torn communities. We call on musicians, bands, choirs and ensembles around the world to organize benefit concerts on June 21, 2015 to help raise funds and awareness for our work of healing and reconciliation through music. World Wide Music Day, Fête de la Musique, started in Paris in 1982 to make music free and accessible to everyone. Today it is celebrated on June 21 in 460 cities around the world.
