BITONE FOLKS UGANDA Bitone means “talents.”  Bitone folks Repertoire and performance Profile Since its inception, Bitone Folks Band has acquired and exhibited incredible performance skills in African music, dance, and folklore.  Our well-interwoven artistic presentations have not only thrilled the East African and United Kingdom audiences, but have been recognized internationally. Bitone Folks Band performs on social occasions like weddings, introductions, parties, corporate functions and stages concerts/festivals both in open spaces and theatres

We perform a variety of African folk songs, Original compositions and dances from various parts of African, through using string instruments, membranes, percussion and wind instruments. We fuse musical instruments such as ;Kora, Adungu (bow harps), Bass Guitar, Endingidi (tube fiddle), Engoma (Drums), Dried Calabash, Marimba (xylophones), Endere (African flute), Akogo/Kalimba (thumb piano), Djembe and Konga drums and Rattles.  We dress in costumes that illustrate each tradition that we present. The Band also engages the audience in simple singing and dance movements accompanied by popular folk tunes, which both young and old enjoy most. In every performance, we make sure we provide brief explanations about the items we perform for our lovely audiences.
