In the story of Lori Leak Travels To Paris, you hear of  Lori's older brother, Earl. Just as the main character, Lori Leak, is based on a real person (the author)  Lori's brother Earl is based on the author's late brother of the same name. Earl F. Phillips died an untimely death due to cancer but he lived life to the full until the very end. His life was one filled with giving back to others and after his love of God and love for his family, came his philanthropic work supporting the growth, development and scholarship in the African American community. Now you have the opportunity to  both buy a copy of the awesome children's book Lori Leak Travels To Paris AND to support  the charity close to Earl's heart. The annual Earl F. Phillips Legacy Breakfast was named after him just before his death in 2014 and today is held to collect funds for the Scholarship Fund of the Delta Upsilon Chapter (Trenton, NJ) of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
