A $5 DONATION TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS WILL HELP SAVE CHILDREN'S LIVES IN FLINT, MICHIGAN

Global Service is trying to raise money to help The American Red Cross continue to provide bottled water to the people/families in Flint, Michigan.

Flint, Michigan residents are currently experiencing a contaminated water crisis and need our help. Every $5.00 donation will provide 1 case of bottled water or 2 one-gallon containers of water to the residents in Flint, Michigan.  Larger donations will increase the amount of cases and one-gallon containers of water provided to the Flint, Michigan residents.                            // - - -  HISTORY  - - -//                                       CONTAMINATED  WATER  IN  FLINT  MICHIGAN                            Between 6,000 and 12,000 children in Flint, Michigan have been exposed to drinking water with high levels of lead and may experience a range of serious health problems.  The water change is also the possible cause of an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease in the county, that killed 10 people. On January 16th, 2016 President Obama declared a Federal State of Emergency for the city of Flint, Michigan. President Obama issued funding. The funding provided was not enough to cover the cost of the water supply and water pipe replacement process for the Flint, Michigan residents.   As indicated on local news, there are thousands of homes in Flint, Michigan and every home is without clean/safe running water. Consequently, until the water supply and water pipe replacement process has been completed, the residents of Flint, Michigan will need continuous support with being supplied bottled water. The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and the American Red Cross continue to consistently run low on bottled water supply. We decided to start this campaign, to help prevent the Flint, Michigan residents from running out of safe bottled water.

Global Service is trying to raise enough money for The American Red Cross in Flint, Michigan to purchase 6 pallets of bottled water (= 288 cases  =  6,912 bottles of water, 24 bottles per case; 16.9 ounce bottles)  and 1,000 one-gallon containers of water.

With everyone's assistance, we can do this together.  A donation is never too small or too big, every dollar will help.  Together, we can save lives, by helping to provide the Flint, Michigan residents with safe bottled water to drink and cook their food. Please share this fundraiser with your friends and family via social media, text and email.    Thank you!
