Launch of SASOD's Anti-Discrimination Audio PSAs

The Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination (SASOD) in collaboration with the Equal Rights Trust (ERT) under the implementation of a joint project entitled, “Empowering civil society to address societal prejudice and undertake advocacy on discrimination against LGBT persons” created three audio Public Service Announcements (PSAs) rejecting discrimination. The Public Service Announcements will be launched on International Day of Happiness, March 20. According to the United Nations, “the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental human goal”; the United Nations also tells us that we are all born free and equal and that we are all entitled to the same rights. The three audio PSAs call on individuals to respect everyone regardless of age, race, creed, ethnicity, HIV and health status, sexual orientation or gender identity, religious or nationality or disability. Discrimination is a violation of human rights. It is immoral, hurtful and dehumanizing. Too many people around the world face unequal treatment because of their race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation or gender identity, disability, gender or age.
