What does a ring, a hair-comb and a pair of earrings have in common other than 'things,' a girl might own?  These items were "Gifts" from three #Homeless women I personally helped.

     Ever since I saw my first homeless man in 1968, lying dead on the sidewalk on a cold winter's day in Detroit, my eyes opened to reality. I have to be the change I want in this world of heartbreak. So, I have always tried to help those less fortunate, including abandoned animals.

     The book I wrote Sticks and Stones and Broken Bones is all about being broken, repaired, broken again but always, hopeful and thriving while becoming the person I desired to be.

     Point is this, the #Homeless and Broken People in our life, are everywhere which

is why I decided when I wrote Sticks and Stones and Broken Bones I would donate

10% of my proceeds to organizations that help the homeless. I cannot do it alone.

     Now that the season has changed, there is a greater need to shelter the homeless
