My Father Rickey has had a rough stretch as of late. He was hospitalized on Thanksgiving Day with severe abdominal pain. The CT scan revealed that he has 7 gall stones in his gall bladder and 1 blocking his bowel. The imaging also revealed the presence of what the doctors called a Carcinoid tumor on his liver as well as his bowel. He needs surgery to remove these tumors as well as his gall bladder to relieve his pain and suffering . However he currently does not have medical insurance and is currently ineligible for financial assistance through the programs at the hospital. I've turned to GoFundMe as a way of raising some money to offset the costs of this surgery. Right now I've started with a small goal of Five Thousand dollars which is what a normal procedure for removing a gall bladder would likely cost. Without knowing if and when he'll qualify for any assistance I'm trying to raise funds to allow him to have the procedure done and be able to recover fully.
