This book tells a personal story and will help raise awareness about this little known illness affecting 1 in 200 children.  Quick diagnosis can mean quick recovery! When our 10 year old son suddenly presented with a myriad of debilitating psychiatric symptoms that meant he couldn't go to school and sometimes couldn't even leave the house, we went to our doctor.  She didn't know what was wrong and what the psychiatrist told us didn't make sense.  After countless hours of research, I stumbled across a little known illness called PANDAS or PANS.  Our son had all the symptoms and yet we had to fight for diagnosis and treatment; the non-believers, the judgment, the insurance companies; families shouldn't have to go through that!  Knowledge is power and this book is intended to spread knowledge.
